Ainslee Farrar

Ainslee Farrar is a 20-year-old Trumpet, Cornet player and  Brass instrument teacher from Halifax in the UK. Ainslee started playing Cornet, at the Age of 7 and joined the Chethams School of Music in September 2015,  and started studying Trumpet in 2017 taught by Murray Grieg and Thomas Osborne.

In September 2022, Ainslee started studying a B.Mus.(Hons) in trumpet, at the Royal Northern College of Music, in Manchester. Ainslee is currently  learning under John Miller, Thomas Osborne and studying Jazz Trumpet with Iain Dixon. Ainslee has also received the Millar Scholarship award, to help with his studies at the college.

On Weekends, Ainslee teaches brass and violin to his local Asian diaspora, with his students being members of a 10-piece brass ensemble called 'Note Brass Ensemble', with several of his students now involved in the Elland silver band Organisation. 

In January 2024, Ainslee was honoured to join as the principal cornet of the Elland silver band. Re-joining the organisation in which he left 7 years prior. After coming 7th at the British Open Senior Cup, Ainslee was described as' Gallons of Self Confidence, an Angel heard from Blackpool to Bombay.' (Iwan Fox)
